French language is an official language in 31 countries forming the French-speaking community (La Francophonie). The number of French speakers is estimated to be around 130 million, and it is over 300 million considering those who use French as their second language.
French keyboard stickers are designed for the standard AZERTY keyboard layout. This layout is different from QWERTY in having letter pairs (A, Q) and (Z, W) swapped, M repositioned, 0 and 9 shifted and symbol places changed. In this layout there are no special keys to make accented characters, and there are few small differences in location of symbols between French-France and French-Belgium keyboard layouts.
