Chinese Keyboards: Historical Language Background

Chinese keyboard labels have been carefully designed for the Chinese alphabet. We wanted to share some background facts on Chinese language...

Chinese language is the most commonly spoken language in the world, about one fifth of the world population speak some form of Chinese. There are known manustcripts, artifacts, and poetry written in Old Chinese language dated 1122 BC.

Keyboard symbols and printed Chinese alphabet use two different character notations - Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese. Second form was developed and standardized in 1950 by the Chinese government in order to simplify printing. Simplified Chinese nowtimes is being mainly used within the country of China while Traditional Chinese characters are being used in Taiwan, and Hong Kong.
